Yarning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander personal health data

Researchers at Wungening Aboriginal Corporation, Murdoch University’s School of Indigenous Knowledges, and Telethon Kids Institute’s Kulunga Aboriginal Unit are interested in talking to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults in Perth (Boorloo) about how to keep research health data safe.

This Aboriginal-led community conversation invites you to join a 2-hour yarning session about the collection and use of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health data in Boorloo. The conversation will contribute to local guidelines that aim to protect your research health data.

During the session we will yarn about:

  • How researchers keep Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health data safe
  • Ways to protect this research data.

This study is an opportunity to have your say about how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ data should be used in research. If you are interested in taking part, or would like more information, please contact: Christine Almond at calmond@wungening.com.au or on 9221 1411.
